5 Months old

Monday marked the 5th month for Becca outside Mommy's womb. She decided to stay up late to party, finally going to sleep around 10:00. She has been falling asleep around 7:30 and sleeping pretty much till 6:30 in the morning, except for the occasional poopy diaper or "i want my binky!!" cry. It has been a blessing for sure.
As you can see, orange is the theme!! We have not picked out a halloween costume yet, but she will get one before the weekend is over.
The family is going to get out of town this weekend and go to Branson, MO. Home of the worst traffic this side of the Mississippi. Actually it shouldn't be too bad this time of year. Fergie will be staying home with one of our friends Anne who will take care of the little monster while we are away. We didn't want Grandma's cats eating her while we left town!!
Enjoy the pics and watch for costume pictures soon!!!

Who says you can't go home?

We took a trip to Wynne last weekend. As usual, it turned into a family feast with almost the whole fam damily there. They don't know how to do a "small" meal. We had such a good time. There was lots of eating, baby kissing and even a little singing. Becca wore her cheerleader outfit for the first time, so we had to take lots of pictures. It's late, and this is my third post tonight so I am just picking out a couple to post. You know, I am not big on the bow head girly-girl thing, but dang she sure looks like a doll. I think she's wised up to the camera, though and is on strike from smiling.

Oh yeah, it was our first road trip with the baby and Fergie. Whew! I don't think we'll be doing that very often. Fergie and Becca are best buddies, though. Very entertaining.

More pics of the babe...

Because we just can't get enough of her...oh, and she found her feet this week so she thinks she's hilarious. And we think she is, too.

A Whirlwind of Visitors

Over the past few weeks, the Bramells have had a lot of visitors. We had a good time with all, and everyone got to love on Becca. It's been a while, but I'll try to remember some things about our visits. Keep in mind that lately I can't remember what I did yesterday so cut me some slack.

Our new friends The Bleakmans came from Arizona. They are clients of Lee's. They don't have any grandbabies (yet), so I think Becca is going to be their stand-in for a while after they move here. She and Janet really hit it off.

The same weekend Becca's Pop and her Uncle Bernie and (Marie) Aunt Annette came to visit, too. You had to be there to get that one, right Bernie? Anyway, we visited a lot and went up to Rogers to stroll around the new Pinnacle Promenade.

Sorry, we're trying!!

I know that we haven't posted in a long time, and everyone is so antsy and checking the blog. SORRY. We are just so tired and/or busy. I am really going to try to get a new one with pics up tonight. We have had company, been traveling, and Lee just listed a new house (our neighbors'). Anyway, the best news is little Becca has decided that she likes to sleep. The past two nights, she has slept for 10 hours! Yes, I'm serious. Yay for us!!

Shots-Schmots.....

Little Petey had her 4-month check up and shots this morning. She was a total rockstar!! She cried for just a bit when they stuck her, then stopped when Daddy picked her up to cuddle. I think she was just mad at the nurse. Or maybe she cried because the Hogs choked on Saturday. Who knows, could be either or both. I don't blame her either way.

Our big girl weighs 13 lbs, 5 oz. now and is doing great. She is in the 60% range for weight and height, which is just about average. Doc said we have a perfect, average baby. I'll take it!! We are going to start changing her back to the other (read: less expensive) formula and give it a couple of weeks to kick in. Then the next step will be to gradually get her off the Prevacid if all goes well.

That's all for now. Don't expect too much this week (Tracy) as we are going to be really busy. Lee has some clients coming to town at the end of the week, and I have to be out of town for work two days this week (day trips only this time). More later...
