Aunt TP and Jonathan came to visit us over the weekend. Here are some pics from the visit. As usual, we couldn't get Jonathan to get in front of the camera. I promise that he was here though. Tracy is a proud aunt and gave Becca lots of love and kisses.

Happy Birthday Fergie!
Fergie's birthday party on Sunday was great fun. She really enjoyed eating her "pupcake," once she finished sniffing it and pushing it around the kitchen floor. We decided not to get her a cake because it was so big, it would have taken 3 or 4 dogs to eat it all.....and all of our puppy friends have moved away, so there would be nobody for her to share it with.
On another note, we took Becca to the doc (again) this morning. She has been really fussy lately and spitting up a lot. He told us she has acid reflux and gave her some Prevacid. Hopefully, we'll have some relief within a few days. I don't want to turn in to those parents who take their kid to the doctor once a week, but I am really glad we went and found out the problem.
Becca now weighs 8 lbs, 12 ozs.--she is eating well and growing fast. Yay!

We've got it all figured out.
It's only taken us 4 weeks to see the light. We have a DIVA on our hands! Thanks to her acute sense of wetness, Little Miss Becca has us running through diapers at lightning speed. I swear, she can go from content to hysterical in less than 10 seconds. There only has to be a trace of pee in her diaper and she's coming unglued! At this rate, our "big stash" of diapers that we had will be gone before I go back to work. Geez. I mean, I don't blame her, I wouldn't want to sit in a wet diaper either. But come on, do you need a fresh diaper every hour??
All this time we wondered if she was already spoiled or just wanted to be held...but no, a fresh diaper is the solution to all (well, most) problems. Who knew? I think we should look into stock in Huggies.
In other news, our other Diva is having a big birthday this weekend. Fergie will be a year old! Since Aunt TP and Uncle Jonathan will be here, we are going to celebrate in style. I heard about a cool doggie bakery in Rogers, so I'm going to go pick up a birthday cake for the Fergster. Watch for some pictures from her party next week on the blog. I think she can use the fuss over her, since she's been getting a little less attention since Becca came along. Not to mention, it stormed this week and poor Fergie shook with fear every time it thundered and wouldn't go outside to potty. I think she was so nervous it made her throw up.

All is well in Fayettenam
Another week gone by and everybody is doing great. Mom and Dad are doing their best to get some sleep. Dad either sleeps in a little bit or gets up early and gets a good midmorning nap. Mom usually gets a nap in sometime in the early afternoon while "Ellen" is on :)
Today we had our first big girl bath. Her cord remnants fell off over the weekend. She did not like it much at first but towards the end she quit screaming. Her lungs are definitely working properly. It sounded like 3 babies were getting a bath!!

Our Sleeping Beauty...
Here is Becca on Friday during a nap. She always sleeps with her arms up by her head. That is how her daddy sleeps, too! I don't think she was very happy with the flash in her face, as you can see from her frown.
We enjoyed a nice outing yesterday...Lee took us out to lunch at Chili's. It was great to get out of the house, although Becca slept right through the whole thing. Nice for us, I guess. It almost felt like the old days, when we were on a date. Well, except that we had nothing to talk about but the baby! My, how things have changed.
Until next time...

Becca's First Doctor Visit...and other stuff
Becca had her one-week appointment last Tuesday. Everything checked out just fine. Her weight was down to 6 lbs, 3 ozs. but the doc said that is perfectly normal for infants to lose some weight in the beginning. We are going back this coming Tuesday for another checkup, so hopefully her weight will be back up. Once we get the milk issues worked out, it shouldn't be a problem.
After our appointment, we went by Lee's office to show Becca off to everyone. She got lots of attention and kisses. He is so proud of her, it was really sweet.
We are all doing pretty well overall. Becca is a good sleeper--she sleeps about 3 or 4 hours in a row most nights! We have only been getting up once or twice with her. My recovery is going well, too. I am getting around better every day, so I'm glad for that. Fergie just loves her new sister, and she's doing well with the baby. We knew she would. She loves to just look at the baby and lick her feet!
I'll post some more photos when Lee gets home, since he has them all on his computer.
