Will the real Fergie Bramell please stand up?

Made you look twice, huh? Isn't this a hoot!
(Don't mind the 'ole ladybug hanging out in the background).

You may remember some posts back in the fall about our friends from Arizona, Bob and Janet Bleakman, who were clients of Lee's. Well, they have finally moved here! We are so happy that we'll be able to get to know them and spend some time with them. Anyway, Lee saw them yesterday and Janet sent this faux-Fergie dog purse to Becca! It has a removable strap, so it can just be a stuffed animal, too. I think this is one of the most thoughtful gifts Becca has gotten.

Here Becca is showing the faux Fergie to Princess Fergie. They were both a little freaked out at first, but then Becca had to tell Princess Fergie not to be jealous.

See how Becca liked it! She's been carrying it around all day!

Here's the really ironic thing. I ordered this shirt for Becca online a couple of weeks ago. How perfect that she got the faux Fergie on Monday, and got to wear her new shirt to mothers day out on Tuesday! For all you grannies who aren't wearing your glasses, it says "The Boston Terrier sleeps in the bed with Mommy & Daddy and I gotta sleep in this lousy crib!"

Our visit to the park and other random thoughts...

First let me say that I am breaking this post into a couple of posts....we've made our pictures higher resolution for printing and it makes loading onto the blog go very slowly. So, you are going to get more bang for your buck this time.

On with the show....I guess this was a weekend of firsts for Becca. Sunday was such a beautiful day, we went to the park for the first time. (see pics below). It took her a while to figure it out, but she finally smiled on the swings. However, she was not too keen on the dirt under her feet--she didn't want to walk on the ground. Such a little lady, you might think--until she tried to eat it, that is!

We've also started feeding her more table food. She had a piece of turkey, toast and some cheese for the first time. She seemed to really like it. She's also had some ham and a little bit of pasta. With any luck, we'll be able to dump the bottle and the formula in the next few weeks.

Our other big milestone is brushing her teeth! She loves it and she can do it by herself already! But everyone knows how advanced she is for her age, so this should be no surprise ; )

"Weeeeee.....this isn't so bad, but I'm holding on for dear life."

"Playing is too hard, think I'll sit down."

"If I didn't have this stupid hat on you could see my face."

"This is more my style...in the shade and out of the dirt."

One more quick, random thing to share from Francena. After church Sunday she went to Chili's to eat lunch on her way home. We could not join her because Lee had to work and Becca was too fussy. So, she's sitting at her table minding her own business when this random lady comes to the table and tells her that she looks nice (she was all dressed up fancy). I guess they chatted for a minute, then the lady went back to her husband at her own table. When Francena got ready to leave and asked her waiter for the bill, he told her that the other couple had paid for her lunch already. Just goes to show, there are still a few nice people in the world. Couldn't we all learn a lesson from this?

WOO HOO! Somebody's getting MARRIED!!!

Tracy and Jonathan are getting married! We are so happy that they have decided to get engaged after all this time. I think Jonathan finally realized that he cannot escape our insanity. He is stuck with us, so he might as well get it over with. LOL!

They have not decided on any wedding details yet, but I just wanted to post the news.

Long time no blog...

Daddy and Becca hanging out at home.
(Of course Fergie is not far away--it's like playing Where's Waldo)

Fergie loves to lay in the sun on pretty days. Becca has decided to join her.
Aren't they funny?

Here are some pics from our weekend trip to Batesville. We spent some time with Aunt TP and Jonathan and checked out the flooding around there. Thought we were going to need a boat to get to town! Grammy and Nanny came to visit on Saturday and Pop on Sunday. They are all blown away by Becca's mobility. The big news is that we let her go home with Grammy on Sunday and spend two nights in Wynne! It was so hard to let her go, but we are glad we did. They had a good time together and got lots of lovin' in.

The name game

Lee and I were talking the other night and realized that poor Becca may grow up without knowing her real name! The girl has several nicknames that we call her, and we decided to see just how many. Here is the list in the order of most used names.

Petey
Boo-Boo
Sweetie Petey
Becca Boo
Pretty
Monkey
Precious (Grandma's name for her)

FYI, if you are reading our blog be careful.

We have noticed a couple of times in the past few weeks that we are getting some spam on the blog in the comments section. So, if you like to read the comments left by others, make sure you do not click any links by anyone you don't know or have not heard of. It will give your computer a virus!! Both times it's happened, the poster name has been one name only, and something very strange. It will usually leave a link that asks you to click on it. We have been deleting them when we see them. If it keeps happening, we may make our blog by private view only where you will have to have a password to log on. We don't want to do that, because we know a lot of people read this that we don't even know about because not everyone leaves comments. We'll start with this and hope that none of our readers get a virus.
